Client Etiquette: Bringing people with you

One Stop To Fabulous has had plenty of conversations with fellow stylist and salon owners about what frustrates them at work. Some people are just plain out rude and no doubt about it, while other clients are a pleasure to have. But One Stop To Fabulous feels that clients are unaware of their behavior and what is expected as a client at a salon. None of these points are meant to point anyone out but to inform fellow clients and help create the best experience possible for you as the client, as well as salon staff.

Bringing other people with you to your appointment:

If the other person you are bringing along to your appointment is going to receive a service then of course this is totally acceptable. In most cases, stylist do not mind if you bring another person to your scheduled appointment. It really baffles us to see clients bring a bunch of people with them to the salon. This is just unrealistic and unnecessary to bring an entourage of people to your appointment. You really do not need the moral support of 8 people to get any salon service done.

Guest who are not receiving a service should not be directly in another stylist chair next to you nor standing near you for a long period of time. Guest that come with you should wait in the waiting area depending on space available. Stylist only have so much space to work and another human being standing around is just in the way. Come to your appointments to receive a relaxing experience with other clients who are doing the same without all the extra noise. Trust us you will love it!
